Terms and
conditions
Upon receipt of your application, we shall
arrange for a qualified tutor to contact you, and commence tuition under the
following terms and conditions.
1. Tuition in your own home, at a time
mutually suitable to you and the tutor(s).
2. Payment direct to the tutor
at the end of each session (current standard rate is €37 per hour; premium
rate is €49 per hour). Families pay an arrangement fee of €95 to
Grinds at Home tuition agency. This is given directly to the tutor after two weeks of lessons, who
will then forward it on to Grinds at Home.
3. Tuition can be terminated at any time,
without reason, by you, or by the tutor. In such case no further money is owed
to the tutor, nor will there any rebate of monies paid.
4. If you
have to cancel a tuition session, please contact the tutor directly no less than
24 hours before the lesson is due to take place. There is no charge for
cancelled tuitions, but if tuitions are frequently cancelled, the tutor will
terminate the tuition, with the full consent of grinds at home.
5. Please note that grinds at home has
advised tutors that tuition can only take place when a parent, guardian, or
other responsible adult (18 years minimum) is present at the same address.
Tuition can only take place in a communal area (i.e. kitchen, dining, or living
area). These
conditions will be strictly enforced by tutors.
6. grinds at home has taken
steps to ensure that tutors are professionally qualified and are of suitable
character. However, the final decision to accept the tutor appointed is the
responsibility of the parent or guardian. grinds at home tuition agency will not accept any responsibility for any loss or injury
that may be incurred by members of your family or their property, in any matters
connected with this tuition.
7. These terms and conditions expire at the
end of the academic year. (i.e. next June). Please notify
grinds at home if you wish the tuition to continue into the next
school year.
